Andy began his career with Septagon in 2017, and over the years has played a vital role in supporting the Des Moines team wherever needed, gaining experience across project coordination, project management, estimating, sales, and operational leadership. His progression reflects both his versatility and Septagon’s belief in developing leaders from within. In his new role as Executive Vice President, Andy will focus on guiding day-to-day operations, supporting staff development, and expanding Septagon’s presence across the Des Moines metro area.

“I’m excited for the opportunity and for where Septagon can go,” Andy shared. “We’re established, we have a strong track record, and my job is to keep things on the rails while continuing to explore new opportunities, especially as we expand our footprint throughout the area.”

Andy says his top priority is continuing to build an environment where employees feel valued and motivated to give their best every day.” I want to continue to create an atmosphere where people want to come to work, where they enjoy being here and want to give 100% effort, not for me, but for Septagon as a whole.”

When asked what the Septagon Experience means to him, Andy emphasized the culture of connection Septagon is known for. “Our process is relaxed and family oriented. We don’t want this to feel like just a business transaction. We’re building relationships, making new friends, and inviting people to be part of the Septagon family.”

Outside of work, Andy enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, supporting and coaching youth sports, and attending Iowa football games, often tailgating from his travel bus for Hawkeye weekends and adventures beyond the field (like fishing trips in Canada).

Andy Zweibohmer Promoted to Executive Vice President, Cedar Rapids Division

Andy joined Septagon in 2008 and has contributed nearly two decades of leadership and field expertise. Starting his Septagon career as a Carpenter, Andy later took on opportunities that expanded his skillset and influence, including working as a traveling superintendent building Casey’s stores across the region. His career reflects a willingness to step into new challenges, grow through experience, and deliver results through strong leadership and consistency in the field.

As Executive Vice President, Andy will focus on strengthening customer relationships, developing new opportunities, and helping ensure Septagon continues to thrive and grow within the Cedar Rapids market. “I’m most excited about continuing to maintain the relationships we already have and gain new ones,” Andy shared. “I want Cedar Rapids to thrive and do well, and for Septagon to be a place that people remember, where they know we’re still here and getting after it.”

Andy shared that he hopes to make an impact by bringing a fresh perspective and helping push Septagon into new opportunities. “A new outlook on things, a fresh look, and giving us a chance at opportunities we didn’t have before. I want to show customers what we’re capable of.”

For Andy, the Septagon Experience is rooted in the strength of long-term trust. “We have customers who have worked with us for 15 years or more. When someone can call you and say, “I just need you to do it – when can you be here? That says a lot about our relationships and the quality of our work.”

Outside of work, Andy stays busy with his wife and two daughters, whose sports schedules keep weekends active and full. He also loves the outdoors and enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending as much time outside as possible.

A Shared Commitment to the Septagon Experience

Both of these promotions represent more than individual career milestones, they reinforce Septagon’s continued focus on building strong teams, maintaining trusted partnerships, and delivering dependable results across every project and division. Septagon Construction congratulates Andy Stoecken and Andy Zweibohmer on their well-earned promotions and we look forward to the leadership, growth, and momentum they will bring to their teams and the customers they serve.
