The essence of this program, named 7 Sides, lies in gathering data to establish benchmarks of performance, monitoring and analyzing this data over time, setting goals for improvement, tracking the results and reporting the findings to the organization.
This program is a long term one which will take time to pay dividends.
Our customers tell us that we are the best at what we do and because of this, we have achieved a great deal of success as an organization. However, the enemy of success is complacency and we cannot afford to become complacent and allow our many competitors to catch up with us. We must continually strive to improve.
The seven critical success factors and their goals for this year are:
1. Company Image: To better understand our image from the eyes of our customer, we will submit a questionnaire after the completion of projects that gauges their satisfaction level.
2. Management Principles: To better understand and meet the needs of our employees, we will solicit feedback on a variety of topics.
3. Long-Term Relationships: To help us create, build and strengthen relationships, we will utilize a Customer Relationship Management system that will support our salesmen to communicate, track, monitor and evaluate contacts with customers.
4. Quality Performance: To focus on the last 5% of a project, we will have customers sign a substantial completion certificate and have the goal to complete all punch lists within 30 days.
5. Training Commitment: To better train and educate employees, we request each employee define their training needs annually.
6. Quality of Life: To help ensure a higher quality of life for employees, our goal is to have zero lost time accidents per year.
7. Project Knowledge: To help our employees better understand each particular job we do, we will conduct a confidential internal post job survey on a minimum of 50% of all projects.
